Can we make days longer?

can we make the clock/days a bit longer? i have a small prison with a plot of land bought. the starting plot has the prison cells and the other has the showers. I have to allocate 4 hours to showers just because it takes prisons 2 hours to just get to the showers. And yes i could move the showers closer but it just seems the hours are to fast for the pace of everyone :/

Hi snickerzz,

The clock / simulation speed is currently determined by the size of the map. Having a small map will result in a faster clock because people / entities don't need to move long distances. However, having a large map will result in a significantly slower clock.

A workaround would be to buy a land expansion and see if that helps. Otherwise, you may have to redesign your prison to meet the needs of your prisoners, and the fast clock speed. Try converting some of the cells into small shower rooms.

Isn't that just because of the lag?

From what I can tell, it seems like the clock is just slower on larger maps. I don't think the lag starts influencing it until later - when the map is filled with staff and prisoners.

Funny, I've never read anything about it but you might be right. I always blamed the lag for it haha
