Why can't I automatically send my prisoners to solitary

So yeah, I got a pretty big prison and I have 100+ prisoners awaiting solitary confinement. I have 20 available solitary rooms yet the guards do not send them automatically. They put them in their cells first. I have to send them to solitary manually. Sometimes, when I'm sending them manually, guards suddenly sends the other prisoners, who I haven't sent to solitary yet, automatically. And yes I know how to make a solitary room (they're all 3x3).

I'm currently playing on my Alpha 19 save file on Prison Architect Alpha 22 on Mac.

I'm currently playing on my Alpha 19 save file on Prison Architect Alpha 22 on Mac.

That might be the reason. Alpha 22 changed the way solitary doors worked when paired with a solitary cell, so older prison save files might have been affected by this change. Even though the change was for solitary doors, it could have changed other systems as well.

Check to see if the issue persists when you create a new prison. Uploading your prison save file would also be helpful in case it's just an issue with the design of your prison.

So I made a new prison and the solitary confinement seems to be working fine so yeah it's most likely just my save file that's having a bug. Is there anyway that I can export everything I made from the outdated save file to a new save file or do I have to start in square one? Thanks btw

Solitary cells can now no longer be zoned as 'staff-only'
