Can you include your video card information? (In DxDiag, the information on the 'Display' tab).

Re: how do you prevent lagging?

no reply? :s

i cant build anything big above medium map or make a big map/big building without it lagging badly, and i have a super-awesome-computer.

something in the engine is lagging it down.

editr: found it on the bugtracker, so apperently its known? http://bugs.introversion.co.uk/view.php?id=157

hopefully it can be fixed for next patch.

Take a look at when that bug was submitted to the tracker: October 14, 2012.

Even if it were very recent, I still wouldn't count on a fix right in the next Alpha just because it's in the bugtracker. Remember, Alpha is mainly for adding new features to the game. They DO fix a couple of game breaking bugs as the Alpha progresses, so you can still hope, but the real major bugfixing will probably not happen until Beta phase when Chris decides that Prison Architect has enough features.

just wanted to note...that i'm running vista 2.1ghz dual core 2gig ram...radeon hd 6450 (costed $20 1 year ago)....playing with next to no lag (unless i try to build too much at once)...haven't bothered going above 200 inmates yet though ...also i only play on large maps..and always expand across the road for my admin building

i know this doesn't help you much heffernan but hopefully it helps narrow things down for techie
