ascdren wrote:just a point on the above mentioned statement, your 'README' file is not clearly labeled as such, Yes, it does have the words 'read me' on it but the title of the file is not in line with the accepted convention 'README.exe' OR 'readme.exe' and does not in any way resemble them to much degree. infact in the program I used to unzip your mod the words 'read' and/or 'me' are not visable.

I am not defending his actions in any way just stating that if you are going to chastise someone for not reading/complying with your 'README' you should atleast make it easily identifiable as one.

No offence, but having a single text file in the root dir of the compressed structure having *readme*.* in the name pretty much qualifies as a readme file. Name and Version should rather be seen as an enhancement.

Kudos

For my grants, all but the vanilla ones appear as objective_grant_example, rather than any actual description. Did I screw up or is it conflicting with A15?

Thanks stice. Can confirm adding version information in the filename is intentional to avoid overwrites between versions.

Nope sounds like you did everything right. The 'official' version that works with alpha 15 isn't out yet, but likely will be out in the next couple of days.

Cheers.

Thanks for taking the time to do this, I'm off to watch the other episodes.

Cheers!

Thanks a lot! As you could see, I screwed up really bad ;-) Your mod is quite a challenge and that's good! I will restart the rest of the series pretty soon!
Keep up your great work with making PA more challenging!

Um... slight technical delay with the alpha 15 GFC release - hoping someone can shed some light:

What do you mean by outsourcing? Security?

That would be an amazing feature.

Guys, it seems like I'm doing something wrong. How do I install the gfc mod over the 15 alpha? So I have this data folder in my game directory and I have mods folder in /appdata. When I first tried to put gfc mod in /steamapps, I had a problem with the description of new grants in game (in descrtiption they said "descrption_of_X_grant"). What is the problem? Maybe I should have add something to mods directory?

Unfortunately I'm still having the same problem.

In an effort to find a speedy solution I'm hoping someone in the community might have some time to have a look at the problem.
I have uploaded a pre-release version, available here, and am hoping someone can PM me a fixed for grants.lua (hint: the problem is with CreateBootstrapGrants() function.

To clarify the desired result, the grants listed should be as per the alpha 14 GFC mod version. Specifically the first few should only be listed once and should pay as follows:

Contract: Administration Centre +6000 on completion
Contract: Basic Detention Centre +10000 on completion
Contract: Health & Well Being +8000 on completion
Contract: Cell Block A +18000 on completion

Thanks in advance for any help in solving this.

paktsardines, I have tested your pre-release version and found a bug: when building a brick or stone wall, money are not withdrawn from your balance.

That's probably because I haven't updated the alpha 15 materials in the prerelease. :P

Any plans on still releasing it for Alpha 15?
