Version 1.02 is now available and working with alpha 14. Full details at the top of this thread.

Key stuff:
Dogs have been added to security grant
Medium/Large loans have been rebalanced somewhat in light of feedback above.

Not much time to test this release, so I might push an update later in the month to polish things up if time permits. As usual, feedback is appreciated.

Cheers.

Having problems with 'State Land Lease'.

I've already built a decent sized prison and it just plots the area it wants paved in the middle of my buildings which are unable to be paved.

Whats the fix for this?

I'm afraid that's the point of the land lease - it forces you to redesign part of your prison. Sometimes you can get lucky and not have to change a thing, but often you can't. Bit of a gamble really.

Do you have any objection if I use your mod in a let's play? I just recorded the 80st episode of my season 2 let's play.
And I think it's time to change stuff up a bit.
So, if it is ok with you I like to give it a go on my channel. I will make sure that you will be properly credited and I point people to this treat of course.

Hey GrumpyLion, apologies for the delay - have been away. Just wanted to say your series is excellent! I'm halfway-through and finding it very interesting to watch someone else play the mod.

Thanks for taking the time to do this, I'm off to watch the other episodes.

Cheers!

While I'm sure you had good intentions, it would be appreciated if in future you did not create 'unofficial' versions of the GFC mod as it creates a number of issues:

. There are now two GFC mod threads for alpha 15. There will also soon be two versions of the mod for alpha 15, one with the latest improvements (the official one) and one without (the unofficial one). This will likely cause confusion.

. I am no longer able to accurately count the number of alpha 15 mod downloads.

. The version you have provided does not generate unique gameplay scenarios with each download.

. Users downloading 'unofficial' mods are unable to trust the source due to lack of checksums etc.

. The version you distributed was without the readme file, which is contrary to the distribution terms described within.

Rest assured I'm working on the new version which will be done when it's done. Your patience in the interim is appreciated.

Cheers.

Hey, removed my link, only one version left

paktsardines wrote:I am no longer able to accurately count the number of alpha 15 mod downloads.
In the meantime i had 23 unique downloaders.

paktsardines wrote:The version you have provided does not generate unique gameplay scenarios with each download.
Yeah, sorry for that. I hope i didnt destroy any immersion for some gamers.

paktsardines wrote:Users downloading 'unofficial' mods are unable to trust the source due to lack of checksums etc.
You arent showing any checksums either :P (especially since every dl is unified)

Sorry for that.

Sorry for the inconvenience, hope it didnt cause you too much trouble. And thank you for developing the mod, had much fun with it

Cheers, no dramas.

Those having problems downloading the mod should be fine now, though note it does not yet work with alpha 15.

just a point on the above mentioned statement, your 'README' file is not clearly labeled as such, Yes, it does have the words 'read me' on it but the title of the file is not in line with the accepted convention 'README.exe' OR 'readme.exe' and does not in any way resemble them to much degree. infact in the program I used to unzip your mod the words 'read' and/or 'me' are not visable.

I am not defending his actions in any way just stating that if you are going to chastise someone for not reading/complying with your 'README' you should atleast make it easily identifiable as one.
