daily budget

my #1 source of frustration today is the first few (ingame) days of play: you accept the grants, and start building the prison only to encounter "you have reached your daily budget" which essentially locks the game until the next day. this is a serious problem if you're a new player and you're half way thru your first prison build and you have prisoners arriving but no way to spend money!

i think the daily budget should be removed – if it were to stay i think you need to state how much $ you have left to spend next to the balance at the top of the game.

i understand the idea of being economically conservative in the early stages of the game, but i think if that is the case you shouldn't be able to build any manner of rooms. Theme hospital did this nicely by gradually giving you things to build.

That's most likely how it'll be in the campaign.

can you elaborate? i am describing a (surely common) scenario that renders the game almost unplayable

I just feel as if taking the system away wouldn't be right. The only real complaints I have for the current system is the only way for getting more money instead of having a prison just built to be efficient and have little to no asethetics is a workshop, which there should be more ways than one to make lots of money.

I don't know why we would remove the daily budget. It's part of the core game.

You have reached your daily budget is from hiring staff. You have to use your daily budget carefully on who to hire.

You could always mod your save file so you have 100k or more to start with.
