Yep, it's that simple.
It took me a while before the doors all opened the way I wanted (especially since I used the middle mouse button to pan), but once they did, I started using double doors all the time. Of course, if you do horizontal normal double doors, you will be stuck with one of the sprites being wrong.

As Kirk told Savik, you have to know how things work in a Prison!
All kidding aside, Doors that have a rotatetype2 on them can be set to open in any direction. And in many applications where you have a two(2) slot space to fill, 2 single slot doors look much better than the 2 slot large jail door. One can open right or up and the other opening left or down.
While we are on the subject of doors, if you don't like green staff doors, you can change them to blue, or red or orange if you wish, as the png files for these colored doors are already included in the game.
I like the blue ones for staff doors myself, the green ones for regular doors and the red ones for segregation or solitary doors, makes a neat looking prison. Haven't found a use for the orange ones yet, but give me some time, I will! Maybe office doors, ha-ha, but then I would need to edit in an all new door type, harder, but doable also!
