Strange Guard Behaviour...

Postby apophis775 » Wed Jun 19, 2013 9:04 am

So, I've got 30 guards, with 10 assigned to places at night, the rest just sit around.

But here's the thing. occasionally and randomly, they will "shuffle" my prisoners around. They'll go and wake up a bunch of my minimum security living in General Population, and a whole bunch of minimum security living in minimum security and flip them around. The strange thing is, I saw them wake up 2 guys, skip a few, wake another, skip some, wake another. It was completly random who they grab.

Now, I did change the security level of a few prisoners (3 minimums tried to escape, failed, and are now Max), but it's never any of them that they bother.

Does this happen to anyone else?

I've seen them moving prisoners around in a full prison as well, seemingly randomly. I assume there's a reason for it but darned if I could see.

For me it seems to happen after somebody gets lockdown or solitary so I had hoped the offender was losing his solo cell and getting stuffed in holding, but that didn't seem to be the case.

They're bored. The guards are daring each other to do this, until someone eventually gets hurt by a prisoner.

This is a new one to me!

Just HOW do you change a prisoner's security level??

Care to enlighten me?

Click a Prisoner, his bio box pops up.
In the upper right corner you'll see his current security level, this is actually a drop down selection box, click this and choose which security level you want him to be, his outfit will change accordingly.

As far as the prisoner moving, have you guys tried clicking on reports while this is happening and looked at the JOBS screen, to see exactly what they are doing?

Yeah, it just shows up as 'escort prisoner to (cell or holding cell)' as usual.
