Help?

I am new to Prison Architect. In fact, I just got it a few hours ago and have figured out a lot on my own. I was watching Youtubers play this game and saw that they had a daily income bar. I do not. Can someone troubleshoot this for me please?

"Daily income bar"? I confused...Do you mean daily prisoner take?That every 24hrs, you get new prisoners, 8,12,22, randomly.

You need to hire an accountant to do that.

In order to hire an accountant you'll have to research "Finance" through the Warden.
There's a grant that helps you along with the basics of Prisons, go to the clipboard (bottom right of the screen) and look for the tab that says "Grants"

No point in hiring before building an office, she wont do her job but will still take income till she has one.

Just cause you can do it doesn't mean you should suggest it to someone who might not understand the downsides to doing so

Xander is correct, you can hire administrators before building an office, but some administrators are responsible for research and need an office so research will be worked properly..

Not to be difficult... Well, no, entirely for the sake of being difficult: Yes you can, and there is a point. For one, you cannot build a doctor's 'office' (ie: medical ward) unless you've hired a doctor first.

That would make sense if the accountant worked the same as the doctor, which it doesn't in any way. To be fair you did say you were just being difficult, although it's not your best effort.
