Laundry/Clothing issues

Postby shovat » Sat Jun 01, 2013 12:15 am

I'm assuming I just experienced the laundry room bug I've seen people refer to.

Is there a work around for it? I couldn't fix it even from scrapping the laundry room and moving it elsewhere.

What is happening:

Prisoners got their first delivery of clean cloths. Which they then change in to at the first opportunity.

The dirty cloths remain where they are, no attempt to retrieve them is made. Buying more beds for a new cycle of clean clothes just gets them put in the laundry basket and it never leaves the laundry room.

Attempted solutions:

Make a new laundry room scrap the old one.

Dump all clothing and get a new supply

Retask prisoners out of the laundry room and task them again.

Cursing at my monitor

Crying

None of these solutions worked over a 10 day period.

I'm having similar issues with dirty laundry not being collected. I've noticed sometimes the job to retrieve the uniform is blocked because it seems the dirty clothing ends up stuck in a wall or another inaccessable place. You can see 'store dirty unform in laundry basket' jobs that cannot complete because there is no path. I've no idea how to solve this unfortunately.

Will make a bug report on it in Mantis tomorrow.

Do they have patch updates, because I'm either blind or lazy if there are. Or do they just add things and hope we figure it out?

FFS, if the reason I have two dead janitors and another dead doctor turns out to be that prisoners don't like wrinkly suits....

Well that's a bit silly.

I can feel like that after ironing too, oh the pain.

Maybe a future laundry upgrade can be for 'easy iron' Lenor - mass calming of the prison population

Nice thanks.

I'm assuming there isn't anything about getting rid of corpses in there, don't have time to watch atm.

Does anyone know if two laundries work now?

Just tried using two laundry machines in one room (it worked before). I had a dingbat moving the dirty laundry between the two laundry machines in an infinite loop until I took one apart. My guess is no.

Nope, handling the issue of dead people still cannot be done without editing your savegame.

Or you can create a gruesome hall of the dead for new prisoners to walk through on their way to their cell. It's all in the approach.
