Maximum Security Challenge

Postby Lorenzo666 » Sat Feb 02, 2013 5:54 pm

I'm starting a series on Youtube where I run a Maximum Security only Prison. It's damned difficult!

Effectively, the challenge rules involve-

+ No disabling Prisoner Intake. You must constantly receive ONLY Maximum Security Inmates.
+ No Workshops. You may only use the money the State and Basic Grants provide.
+ If more than 35 people (Prisoners and Staff) die, you lose.
+ If a large scale riot breaks out, you also lose.
+ If you can successfully house over a 100 Inmates for 3 days without fault, you win.

Feel free to make suggestions for other rules and conditions. It's pretty difficult I must say. I had one death in the first 30 or so minutes. Best of luck to anyone who also attempts it.

You can find the first episode here- http://youtu.be/HTDx8RiFuAc
If it says it isn't up that's because it is being released Sunday the 3rd of February at 10:30 GMT.

I'll keep track of this one, I've heard Max Sec prisoners are hell to manage.

Gotta try it myself yet.

I've heard the death clause can get you just from bad stuff happening before the prisoners ever get off the truck.

Det här videoklippet är privat.
"This video is private"
I translated it, but that is what it says, so no video. :/

Currently, i am running a prison wiith max sec only, and have 23 unsolved murders for 50 people total (staff and prisoners)
I am "arrainging" their deaths in a prison with low and gen pop prisoners

I'm at 200 max-security inmates now. Fights break out daily and there's alway somebody in solitary. I have ~80 staff and if it weren't for the workshops I'd be toast. Also there's no way I'd make it 3 days with no incidents...

I accept your challenge! :D

What are the rules regarding your regime? All freetime still seems to make the game too easy.
Should you add another rule regarding this? either is fine with me.

I dunno. It would be pretty lenient with having ALL Freetime, but I guess it's up to you. Whatever works best :D

My standard just now is too have all freetime with 2h eat slots every 5hr's. It makes it way too easy if you put tv's everywhere aswell..lol..

I'll try a proper regime this time to make it nice & tricky!

Just to say, I will be livestreaming the next part of Prison Architect on the 10th of this month at 6PM GMT time for perhaps an hour or two on my Youtube channel. Hope to see some of you awesome folks there!

Well I tried your challenge a few times.

Too bloody difficult! lol...

I just kept on getting 20 max prisoners everyday & couldn't keep it. Some hilarity ensued along with multiple riots & all sort of madness :P

I've got a pretty nice prison going now where I'm using all your rules but I had to disable continuous all the time..lol..
i think I'll keep it going.

Main problem for me doing this challenge is I'm pretty OCD with wanting things looking nice & always take too much time to plan :P fun to try though!
