How do i turn off the sound?

Postby xphantomx5 » Sat Jan 19, 2013 9:46 am

I like to listen to music while playing games, and its very annoying when you hear riot screaming from the game from time to time, it would be awesome if this game had an option menu for this but sadly it doesn't. Can anyone help me?

Alas I have the same gripe. I was unable to find a solution as the in-game volume doesn't seem adjustable regardless of the settings in preferences.

When you have the game launched, go to your sound icon on the taskbar, then click on mixer. Prison Architect shows up on the panel where you can then lower volumes independently.

Enjoy!

Thanks! Didn't even know you could do that.

Other than adjusting sound levels you can also edit the line in preferences.txt:

Code: Select all

SoundVolume XXX

That doesn't seem to work with me (though I haven't tried it with alpha 5)

Setting the sound volume to "0" in preferences.txt did not work for me either (default volume was "255"). However, setting it to "1" did the trick.
