Every time the Game crashes

Every time I try to run PA.exe I get Prison Architect.exe has stopped working.
I have reinstated it.
I have all the latest updates for my VideoCards and every thing.

1) Did Prison Architect Alpha 1 or Alpha2 or Alpha3 worked fine previously? (current version is Alpha3 (2012-11-10))

2) What video card do you have?

3) Have you updated your video driver from the manufacturer website (in opposition to the Microsoft Windows Update)?

4) Have you tried deleting your preferences.txt file (see below for the location)?

I have an AMD and it is updated. I can run every game but this one so far...

For some form of clarity to other people with this problem as to what actually solved it - the issue appears to have been within the prison file itself,
possibly a corrupt, or incompatible save game.

Within the preferences file, there is a line that reads "RecentMap %recentmapnamehere%", in this case it would have read:
"RecentMap autosave" hence why the debug file had hundreds of lines saying "error reading line x in %location%/autosave.prison"

Deleting the preferences file would have forced the game to re-create the preferences file, and act as if it were the first time the game had started,
thus bypassing the corrupt save game, and subsequently working fine.

Try creating a preferences.txt file within "%LocalAppData%\Introversion\Prison Architect". Just make it blank.

It should skip over the part of the code that tries to make the file, and just go straight to the part that fills it with config

DavidLynch: There are multiple reasons why Prison Architect may crash.

1) Do as koshensky said.

If it doesn't solve it

2) Do you have a debug.txt file in the same directory as the preferences.txt file should be, if so, post it here.

3) What is your OS and version (ex: Windows 7 64 bits)?

4) What is your video card?

5) Have you updated your video drivers from the manufacturer website

I have tried making my own preference.txt file but it did not work. At the moment I am using my mothers laptop. Which is nit very good. I'm also not sure about the video card. It may be just run off the processors? But I'm still not sure. I have not updated the drivers, I will do that later and get back tonyou on how it goes. Lastly, I do have a debug.txt file, but again I will post it here later.

make a backup on your savegame, delete the whole introversion map in %appdata% and start prison architect again.
