Loading save games [alpha3]

Hey, I have a question does anyone else has the same problem?

whenever i try to load any savegame - make it freshly started game or a larger prison i get gray screen and after alt+tab game just stops working. so usually after 1-2,5hrs of gameplay when game crashes i have to start allover again since i cant load any of my save games made during gameplay.

My pc specs (just in case this might help)

Win7x64, 16gb of ram, gtx580 x2 i7 2600 cpu and loads of hdd space

None of this works for me sadly Game seems to create them without any issues but none of them loads.

All you sent me was .png files.... I need the .prison files - they are the save files. The .png's are just thumbnails.

Hmm, my save folder has none of them, only .png files, is it possible game lacks some kind of privileges to create them and i should run it in administrator mode instead to make sure it has full access to system files?

Hmm.. can you see them when choose Load Prison in the Main Menu of the game? Also, click Open Save Folder there to make sure you have the right location.

Only .png files there, just started game in admin mode still same issue game creates only .png files and nothing else also i've checked debug.txt game seems to makes some changes to 'preferences.txt' file in a folder above 'saves' but there is none file like that there (i have hidden files enabled in folder options along with their extensions).

yeah it worked and i can see it on the list but when i tried to write my new game on your save it didn't overwrite so it seems sth is wrong here. maybe i should redownalod game file from wiki ?

Ya try a clean reinstall, can't hurt.

Same issue again.

Removed all folders in AppData\local\etc.. then extracted game to a new folder on C:\ and launched it as admin (just in case) - game still creates .png files but no .prison files in save folder :/ tbh i have no clue what might be wrong here.

First time I've seen this issue reported here on the forum but I just found it on the tracker:

Looks like you're stuck with it for now. What you could do is try play Alpha 1 or 2, see how that works. Or download save files from the wiki and prison-exchange.com to play around with.

Seems like it well it is just alpha so hard to expect everything will work fine. thx a lot for your time and all the help.

Deadbus: Is it the same issue as reported on Mantis, you have extended characters in your username?

If it's the case, could you try creating another Windows user with only A-Z letters and see if it works in that particular scenario?
