Prisoners won't arive.

I place the game on not Continus intake and i build cells. it says they are coming and i wait for that time and when its up they just don't arive

Can you give more details? It definitely says they are arriving? What happens when the time reaches zero?

Hi there,

I have the same problem. I disabled automatic arrival of prisoners and now no prisoners are arriving. I build cells, cantina, kitchen, etc. and have a warden and guards. I haven't seen a timer. I'm not sure if there was one. I am at work atm and can't check that.

When the time reachs 0 eveything works fine. However no prisoners arive.
I tried playing with continous intake and they arive :S

I too am having this problem. I put my setting to not have continuous prisoners. When I have build the cells required, there is no indication of any prisoners expected to arrive or anything, and they never show up.

How long did you wait? Can take up to 48 hours game time. Also make sure you designated the cells as cells with the room tool.

Ok, I really just needed to wait longer. I must have finsished my cells shortly after midnight.

It's a 24 hr countdown starting from 8am - The game checks for free cells at that time and then 'orders' the number of prisoners required to fill them so that they arrive the day after. If you save and reload then the countdown disappears and will start again at the next '8am'

I too have the game as "non continuous intake" with a holding cell, 2 cooks, warden, canteen etc and have ran atleast 4 days and i still have not received a pop up in the "todo list" that the prisoners are arriving. Im using the latest version

You need to build normal cells for them to come. Not just a holding cell. This is new since alpha 3.

That would explain why I can't seem to get more than 17 prisoners and never see more until they start killing each other. That change makes the holding cell pointless.

I just got the game, so I'm still in newbie stage but I've only gotten 2 prisoners to come. I got spacious facilities, 2 docs, psychologist, janitor, gardner...

Just no timer for anyone else but the initial 2. I got a bit holding cell and about 10 regular cells.

I have continuous prisoner intake off and I a did the first grant done and I am still waiting for the prisoners to arrive it has been 3 days in the game and no prisoners have arrived. What do I need to build to get prisoners to arrive.

You need individual cells, the holding cells don't count anymore toward prison capacity. There is a grant about creating individual cells.
