While I disagree that they should release more updates relating to game content, I think (though I have no idea) that they should try to release updates that seem easier, and are more of bug-fixes. I know its an alpha, so please don't flip out on me telling me off, but small bug-fixes that seem to just be removing things, or small changes, like if you already have Alpha-2, you don't see the message telling you to "get it now" when you open up the administrator packet, would be nice. At the very least, it would be a reassurance to people on their progress in development.
Why are you reading this?

This it how that would go:
I'm so relieved that I downloaded Alpha3 just so that I can dismantle lights and now that little message on the left hand side saying I need to buy the alpha has gone. Hurrah. Unfortunately now I've got nothing NEW to do... I guess I'll just play something else until some more feature-rich updates are made that I can do more with than just sandbox for another 4 weeks. Oh Chris, why couldn't you add some more exciting things into the game instead of just bug fixing things you've already done?
And so we come full circle.
Heh, In all honesty, once the base game is created and the base modifications are implemented, they should fix each implemented modification
not fully but as too save time in the future development, fixing things before adding new things, It's just more efficient. I'm not criticizing anyone
but no one can argue that it doesn't help the future development of the game to fix minor issues that take a few minutes to resolve to resolve them
there and then rather then ignoring it and moving on and adding new things.

Alphas are about getting features implemented and tested, because features take longer to develop than bug fixes (usually) there will be a longer time between patches. Unless there is something to is preventing the game from running, or seriously breaking the mechanics of the game, there usually wont be hotfixes between feature updates.
Betas are for finding bugs, balancing, polishing (optimization), adding the last few small features.
Keep this in mind when asking about update schedules. We don't know because they probably don't know. Releases are going to be based on when they have implemented a feature in the development build well enough that they are comfortable with it being tested outside their studio.
Its actually not that much more efficient to balance things out going from feature to feature, because by the time you get to the last thing, you're going to realize that most of what you have already created is going to need rebalanced. When I say Bug fixes are for Beta, I don't mean that they shouldn't be fixing bugs found now that are affecting large numbers of people, bugs that are only affecting a handful though should be put on hold until the optimization phase of development.
