Deployment?

Deployment?

I am so confused as how to use the deployment feature... After a while I started to randomly click places, and then all my guards were stationed at these unnecessary places! :( Is there a way to delete my "stations?"

As said, right click the individual rooms to remove a station point. I'd suggest removing all of them and starting over.

Then left click on individual rooms to where you want to have guards stationed all the time, give the game some time and the guards will go there. Then click the patrol route button and hold down the left mouse button and drag out a path inside of the rooms where you have now stationed some guards and they should travel along that route.

That's really about the whole of it, a relatively simple system. Just remember to not place more station points than you have guards, it's Not like it will mess up the game or anything but you may find later on while your playing that you are confused why you don't have guards standing where you expect them to be standing.

without patrols set, the deployment of guards outisde is fairly pointless as they just gather all in one location. but im sure that can get changed.

If you feel there is a bug you should log it in the tracker. Posting here won't do much.

i do log the bugs I find, but some people come to the forums looking for what works and what doesn't work etc. Not everyone wants to sign up to the bug tracker.

Even this forum insists on having people who try and dismiss things others say. Forums can be so tiresome. The guy/girl asked about the deployment, I pointed out that at the moment without patrols unlocked and used, the initial deployment outside isn't working fully. that ok?

Fair enough :cry:

I haven't seen that problem with deployment as I usually just enable it in the save file and make a patrol at the same time. I searched the tracker too and didn't see anyone mention it. Perhaps you should log it if it happens again.

sorry I just get ticked off with online forums. if you removed all the posts from people telling others what they've said is wrong, about 90% of posts would disappear lol.

Logged now. I figure deployment and patrols should work independently else be rolled into one

a guard radius around each guard would work well I guess. A bit like games like C&C where if troops get within a certain range they'd attack. but also the ability place those blue patrol dots anywhere outside
