Fansite Pack?

Postby Hessen » Wed Oct 03, 2012 10:03 pm

Would it be possible to have some of the PA images to use for a fansite? Main logo, a sample of good resolution sprites etc.

Unpack the data files you lazy git - It's all there - in original png crispyness. :P

(Tip : They are actually RAR files - open them with it and unpack the whole thing and go spelunking)

Worth unpacking just for a look. There's some very cool stuff in the sprite bank including a control center and what appears to be a functional air conditioning system

Cool didn't know you could do that with them.

Although to be fair, I don't want to start using them if I'm not allowed!

Its where most of the pics on the wiki have come from - don't think they mind :)

You should definitely NOT use the unpacked files for your fan site without asking the IV team for approval.

That you can unpack all the stuff does not mean you can use it as you want. It just shows why IV has so many deeply dedicated fans.

Front page of the Prison Architect devwiki wrote:We're keen to encourage new people to join the alpha so please feel free to talk about the game, upload you-tube play-throughs, tweet bug reports (especially the hilarious ones) etc. Basically do whatever you like, but please don't distribute the actual build.

That line remains as written since Mark last edited it himself (check the revision history if you want). I don't think it unreasonable to suggest such things are pre-approved; it's not distributing the build, therefore it's OK.

Its quite right that as a rule you should seek permission first, but I'm sure that they won;t have a problem with it, and if they did they would merely ask you to take it down which is no biggy
