Upgrading Pledge

I'm thinking I'll start with the "Basic Pack" or "Aficionado", but I'd like to be able to upgrade my pledge at a later stage in the Alpha or maybe the Beta stage to "Name in the Game" or higher once I've saved up the money.
Will this be possible?

I believe the word from Twitter was that currently it isn't possible - but if enough pressure is applied from the customers, they'd make it possible down the road.
