Demo 2 Mod

Where is the mod which allows playing the demo level on full Darwinia? I've seen it somewhere around here, but I forgot where and the search isn't helping.

Press Esc in game and press on Play Prologue.

I know that, I would do that but I have this problem which I posted on the Windows issues section:

I can't seem to do that [install patch] on my XP home SP2 computer; the installer informs me that I need to install DirectX 9.0c, which I already have...

the installer may be checking for a dx9c file that is missing or corrupt. Reinstall dx9c and then try patch.

I tried that, but the installer does not actually install anything (no progress bar marching across the screen, no disk activity), which I am assuming means I already have DX 9.0c.

A long time ago I had the same problem re: dx9.0c being installed, but not being seen by darwinia for WinXP. I don't remember exactly what I did, but the problem went away after some cursing. I've been able to install 1.5.11 (or whatever the latest patch is) sucessfully (although I went back to 1.4.2 'cause I don't like the new grenade explosions -- too slick for an IV game).

Try uninstalling dx9 then reinstalling it with the latest n greatest. And if that fails, also uninstall your GPU drivers (fall back to the generic) and reinstall both. Darwinia is looking for something very specific (in the registry?) -- pain in the ass!
