Check the Mission file AND the map file. And if you're using multiple mission files, check those too.

(While you can sometimes get away with having the same ID in mission files that aren't called one after the other, it's better to not even bother trying if you are running into this problem often - better safe than pulling your hair out)

How about you just post up the buildings_startdefinition to buildings_enddefintion part of your map file in like, size 3, and then the problem will probably be evident.

Anyway, it means you have 2 buildings with the same building ID, and one of them is a trunkport. That's bad!

I've got a similar problem... same thing with an incubator, but there are no incubators on the specified level. I even replaced the map file, it works the first time, but the next time I get on darwinia I get the problem again. o_O

That's the original map code.

That's the new one. neither work. And there are no buildings in the mission file.

Too bad you never posted up your buildings...

Combineguy; What's the name of your level?

Anyway, my first suggestion is try renameing your map file - it seems random, I know, but try renaming it, and changing its location ID

Ssecondly, try adding 200 onto each building ID, so they're crazy different and shouldn't collide with whatever the crazy game is on about.

Finally you could make dummy files of all the original levels and missions and just dump them in your mod directory - hopefully that should also fix whatever the hell's going on (ie, collissions with phantom buildings)

I suspect Darwinia does something funky sometimes - hence the not UniqueID anthill sometimes experienced in Stricken...

ok now it has started telling me that there is a triffid with a unique ID problem in that map. WRONG. there are NO triffids... in my MOD. AT ALL. not one. And it's ID must be 2001... no building in my mod has an ID that high. I even removed all the other mods I have. same deal. what the HECK is going on?!

That's from my other topic.

Did you try changing the name and ID?

I assume this is all without a profile, too.

Quite what Darwinia does sometimes I'm not sure - the only time it's reared it's head on any regular occasion is with Stricken's temple_again level. I think it's linked to the fact it tries to match mission_temple_again.txt with the original map_temple.txt (like mission_[mapname]_recapture.txt - it seems to think it's linked up because of legacy convetions still creeping around - even then that was hit and miss and often was fine)
