how do you make a avatar that changes?

elyea

i cant figure out how to set it to a php file.

You have to muddle around with .htaccess, which your host may or may not allow. Basically, montyphy has told the forum that his avatar is an image file, but his server redirects requests for that image to a php file. Furthermore, he changes his image based upon what forum is looking for his avatar, in addition to randomly changing it. NeoThermic and prophile have similar avatars.

Did I say you didn't? But, if it makes you happy: NeoThermic was the first to use a dynamic avatar, and his is by far the best.
