For anyone having trouble completing the Spam objectives: I have no idea what the problem is -- it works perfectly on my machine, running the Mac version of Darwinia. If someone cares to look through the files to see what is not working on the Win version, I would appreciate it.

That doesn't quite make sense, but it's good to know.
I can't figure out what's wrong with the spam cubes.
Also, the killtheants objective is always complete.

That is what it sounds like. At any rate, try putting this line into the buildings section of game.txt:

Code: Select all

      187 1       0       -1     -1    0    # SafeArea

That might fix the problem with the ants objective. Then again, it might not.

well, I put the spam in game.txt and it all worked properly.

Of course, I didn't try not putting the spam in game.txt, cause it's ah uge level and I'm lazy and didn't want to test it twice.

Isn't the spam already in game.txt?

Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I changed the local version after I uploaded Paperwinia. It looks fine on my harddrive. In the short term, before I upload a new version, replace the buildings section in game.txt with this:

Code: Select all

Buildings_StartDefinition
   # Id  teamId  locId   type   link  online
   # =======================================
      8   2       0       -1     9     1   # Control Tower
      168 1       0       -1     -1    0   # Spam
      169 1       0       -1     -1    0   # Spam
      187 1       0       -1     -1    0    # SafeArea
Buildings_EndDefinition

Yep, all works now.
Although it tipped me off to a new bug... *hurries off to the beta test forum*

Good to know you people listen to feedback. I wish I knew how to make mods... I tried and failed horribly. Don't even ask. Just don't.

GJ though!

Shwart!!

EDIT:: what's ILB?

Sorry. My bad.

ILB stands for IsLinuxBust. It is a particular bug with dynamic buildings and objectives. If adding those lines fixed the problem, then the bug is back.
