Red / Green / Yellow

Postby Testrie » Thu Aug 17, 2006 9:47 pm

I have two to three questions:

Is it possible to have a control tower / radar dish to start out as green?

If the anwser is yes, my second question is why does my radar dish and control tower show up as green in the editor and red in the game?

If the anwser to the first question is no, my second question is if it is possible to have a control tower / dish start out as yellow.

If the anwser to the question directly above this one is yes, why does my radar dish and control tower show up as yellow in the editor and red in the game?

Sorry about the way this post is structured.

Yes. A control tower may start out green (team 0), red (team 1), yellow (team 2), blue (team 3), or grey (any other team). A control tower that starts out as any color other than yellow can be captured by a friendly engineer, and turned yellow.

You need to make sure that they are assigned to team 0 in the editor, then check your game files (specifically the map file). Make sure that it is still team 0. Also, you should probably add a line into game.txt for that particular building. I think that TheNextGame has information about how to do that.

Yes. Do the same as above.

Check to make sure that both the control tower and the radar dish are assigned to the correct team in the map file.

Assigning a unit to blue is about the same as assigning it to neutral. They don't do anything. I assume that team 3 is left over from multwinia, which has not been implemented yet.

You can make blue DGs with a Team 3 AISpawnpoint, but they don't do anything - they don't even move.
