Personally, I would check to see if "shiphungry4" existed.

it doesn´t. i checked in the sounds.dat and there is no file called shiphungry4. i copied the sounds.dat file into my mod and tried the map again, this time it said that the file shiphungry6 was not found! And because of that i am even more confused than before.

Remember how you had to import the shape files for the EscapeRocket into your mod from Demo2? You will have to do the same with the sounds.

EscapeRocket -- absolutely, you are using an EscapeRocket in your mod, right?
The other sounds -- only if you are using a fuel system as well.

Here is my suggestion: copy over as few sounds as possible, then start Darwinia. If it crashes, add whatever file it tells you it needs. Repeat until it no longer crashes.

It may be easier, but it bloats the size of your mod. If you did that, you probably have some 15-20 MB of sound files. I don't know about you, but I don't really want to download 20 MB of crap that I already have.

yeah, you are probably right. ill delete all the files that i don´t need! But still there are some files that i think are related to the escape-rocket and those i will save.
I also wonder if my avatar is ok? Is it alright to have an avatar this size?

Holy shit, 800x600... what are/were you thinking? That's seriously taking the biscuit. I HIGHLY recommend you do something about that, whether it be to scale it down or use a different picture.

Oh boy do I feel sorry for all the IE users here...

I may have. Although Firefox scales the images down correctly so I might not have noticed.

What are using as a browser? On Firefox, your avatar appears as 80x60 and when looked at on a 19in monitor using a resolution of 1280x1024 it loses all sense of detail (in short, it looks crap because it's scaled down so much).

First step, get the image you want:
1) Find the image you want. Will assume you find the image online.
2) Right-click the image and select the "View Image" option. Your browser should now be showing you only the image.
3) Right-click the image and select the "Save Image as..." option. Choose a suitable name and location to save it.

Second step, rescaling the image:
1) Load up you paint/imaging program of choice. Paint will do, providing your version supports jpeg.
2) Load/open your image within the program.
3) Now find the the rescale option. What its called and where to find it depends on your program but it should be called something like 'Image size', 'Rescale' or 'Size' and will be most likely in a menu along the top of program's window.
4) Assuming you want to mantain the aspect ratio (which is usually what you want), ensure that the option for it is on.
5) This forum scales images to 80x80 (usually) so its probably best you enter 80 for the width/x scale (you only need to change one value since aspect ratio maintains the height/y value). Click OK and the image should rescale.
6) Now save the image. In this instance, its probably best to go with either jpg, gif or png as the file format.

Third step, hosting the image:
1) Find a site to host your image. You can use Imageshack (which is free) or you can use your own website, if you wish.
2) If using Imageshack, the default settings should suffice. Just click Browse and select your image. Click OK when done.
3) Click "Host it!"
4) When the image has been uploaded you will be given a set of links. Copy the one listed as 'Direct link'.
5) Use that direct link as your avatar.

You know, we don't need telling that a thread has gone off topic. We can generally work it out for ourselves.
