Trickfred already said to zip or rar the folder. You can do that either by using Winzip or Winrar. This will compress/archive the folder and allow it to be sent as a single file via email.
Uplink help: Check out the Guide or FAQ.
Latest Uplink patch is v1.55.

...Or alternately, if you're in WinXP, just right click on the directory, and choose 'Compress' or something similar - I have it disabled on mine by choice, so I can't tell you exactly what it'd say.

Forest mission file: Control Tower 8 is unlinked.
Polygon Pit mission file: Control Tower 114 is unlinked.
Energy Input map file: Control Tower 2 is unlinked.

PolygonPit_intro_4
PolygonPit_intro_5

Notice how there's no corresponding text after them? Like I said in a previous post? Did you even read my previous post? At all??

Oh, and change all the lines at the beginning of strings_default that start with '!', and have them start with '#'. '!' does not comment lines out, '#' does. How you managed to not notice that is beyond me, since the rest of the file uses them extensively. :?

Dude, seriously, at least read the material that you've been directed to, and try to figure things out for yourself for more than 5 seconds before wasting people's time on these boards, or when you really have an actually serious problem, noone's going to be willing to help you. Those were all simple things, with solutions that were all suggested to you, with the exception of the comment character - which should have been glaringly obvious to you. :?

(Why are so many buildings dynamic? Most of them don't need to be.)

(...And why is the ViewEnding mod inside your mod? :? )

trickfred: While I am sure that this doesn't apply in this case, unlinked ControlTowers are allowable, assuming that they are set to team 2 (yellow). Unlinked ControlTowers only crash Darwinia when they are captured. As the AI will never try to capture a team 2 CT, it won't crash (unless you are using team 1 engineers :\ ).

Well, I'll be a monkey's uncle. (No, really, you should see my sister's kids. *shiver*)

Didn't know that, I've always linked them. Still, seems in any case, it'd be better to link them to themselves if you're not linking them to anything else, just in case. Just seems less sloppy to me.

I agree, it is better to link them. You just don't have to. Have a look at building ID 10 in Garden.

Well, then I guess the guy's problems were just the '!' marks used to comment out lines, and the two entries that had no text associated with them.

hey! i can tell ya why example my strings not really are ready! As i was writing the text we had to go somewere, so i really did not have the time to fix the rest. And when we got home i forgot to fix it! and i also did not think that it would make some problems, cause the strings and scripts did not want to function! I also can´t fix the unlinked CTs, i can´t get into my mod!!!

PS: I don´t know where the ViewEnding came from. It was there when i checked the first time. Oh and sorry for being soo stupid!

Never said you were stupid. If I had to choose a word... But I don't have to choose a word. :D

I've checked your past posts, and you have been directed in the past to the usual suspects when it comes to editor documentation. There really is a wealth of info in those resources, you just have to be willing to dig through them, as well as making extensive use of the 'Search' feature on the boards.

I was incorrect it seems about the Control Towers, but I'd still recommend linking them at least to themselves, at least to prevent the game from crashing later if you change its team alignment and forget it's unlinked (or am I the only one that uses Control Towers as mission objectives on a regular basis?).

Fix the unlinked Control Towers, open up the map file in a text editor. It look at the entries for the Control Towers in the Buildings section -- the last column (unlabled) will contain the ID of the linked building. Make sure it is not -1.

...And make the changes I suggested to the strings_default.txt file, and you WILL be able to get into your mod. :D

I have fixed the CTs to link to themselves! But will the mod work after that? I am also waiting for a re-PM from Trickfred for more info about his suggestion.

I have an announcement to make - I just got my colourized Little Shop Of Horrors DVD in the mail - the Jack Nicholson version, autographed (and containing a commentary) by Mike Nelson of MST3K! :D

....But I have to go to bed now, as I have to work tonight, and can't watch it until 6 AM or so tomorrow morning... :(
