This is in editor

And this is in the game.

Even if I restart the level. :x

Why it is doing this (buggy editor)?

I had a same problem before. I made enemy triffid and in the game it was on green team and throwing player team eggs. :(

Your problem probably lies in game.txt, in this section:

Code: Select all

Buildings_StartDefinition
   # Id  teamId  locId   type   link  online
   # =======================================
      4    2      0     11      0      1
     35    1      0     11     21      1
      0    2      1     11      1      1
      6    1      1      5     -1      1
      7    1      1     11     21      1
     10    2     12      3      0      1
      1    2     13     11     12      1
      2    1     13     11     21      1
Buildings_EndDefinition

These settings override settings in the map and mission files for a level. I'd suggest deleting all lines from this section unless you know for sure they should be there (examples: a Team 2 Trunk you want online complete with bouncy-warpy-field at the beginning of the level, or a Radar dish you want active and pointed at another dish from the beginning of the level.) You can definitely safely delete any lines that have the last value set to '0' (the Online value), as the game itself will recreate these lines when the game.txt file is generated for the player's profile.

What could be happening (at least, I've seen it happen to me) is you create a building, and an entry is added here. Then you delete that building, create another one - but the entry is still in game.txt pointing to a building of that ID, and the new building with the same ID as the old one inherits the settings in game.txt even though it's a different building. That's why it's a good idea to prune that section of everything you're sure doesn't need to be there.

What could also be happening, is that you've played through the mod partially, edited a level, and the game.txt from your profile was saved over your mod's game.txt, changing the entries in that section to online. That's also happened to me (rather annoying). Again, they just need to be either set back to offline in that section, or have their lines removed from that section.

If you need clarification on that, let me know.

(Or I'm sure xander will come along and post any details I missed; he usually does.)

Heh... we live only three hours from Battle Mountain. Battle Mountain was declared the "Arm Pit of America" by the Washington Post a few years back. They have billboards on the way into town that declare their pride in that fact.

We're the 'unofficial' armpit of Canada, all right. I've seen people here using baby strollers to carry 2-3 cases of beer home in, while making the kid walk beside them. At ten PM at night. That's how they declare their pride in it.

(We're only here because it's cheap, and geographically convenient. We're hoping to move soon. Honest.)

That's not as bad as living in "Bubba" land Georgia. Moved here out of the Air Force in 1980...and still am in culture shock. In the Olympics they were driving chrome pickup trucks around the stadium field.
