Can I get Foolproof Instructions on how to make a fence?

As has been stated, laser fences do nothing to bad guys. Nor are they supposed to, as far as I can tell.

They are still way cool though, and you have to watch out for your engineers. "Anouther task to keep you involved... "

Even with walls virii can slip under them, so you can place them close to the edge, anything close to the wall/laser fence they slip under.

well you could set some AI spawns along the fence - spawning team green virii - these are invisible but they kill red virii, however they get killed and release green souls like any other unit, so you'll hget a fence releaseing green and red souls - up to you.

Laser fences have always been dubious at best. Relying on them in your mod for anything other than visual effects is a mistake. The same can be said of walls. Although do they stop movement temporarily, it only takes a little effort to 'bounce' a unit right through a wall, which means they arent completely reliable either.
