The Translation Center - List of current projects

Postby Starfyre » Sun Aug 07, 2005 4:16 pm

I thought it might be nice to have a thing like this to keep track of who is doing what. Basically, this thread will serve as a collection for all finished and in-work translations done for Darwinia. That way you can easily see who might be working on a language of your choice, and instead of setting out on your own, you can participate in an already existing group to work more efficiently.

Since I can't possibly pick out all of the projects on my own, even here on the forums, reply here if you're working on a translation and you'll be added to the list. If you have an already complete translation uploaded, give us a link so it can be used by those interested. Let's get going!

The Translation List

German
Starfyre, Kajotex
Project is about 40% finished.

Spanish
Radiobuzz
Project is finished and can be found here.

Polish
Dr4goN
Status ?

Russian
Lone Wolf
Project is finished and can be found here.

As stated, I need your help to make this list complete, so thanks for all feedback in advance. Hope this'll work! 8)

Italian translation by G.I.T.

Postby CavaliereOmbra » Fri Sep 30, 2005 2:58 pm

Hi, my name's Marco Maccio, and I'm the founder and responsible of Game Italian Translation (www.multiplayer.it/git), a group that work around videogame's translation. We maded some official localizations (here there's a list of some games we official translate for italian market), and even unofficial projects for our own (always with publisher permission, of course). This mean that we made lots of works even for "simple" passion, as we would like to do with your game Darwinia (we start working around it today).
Obviously our translation (when it'll be completed) will be completely free to download from our site. Work and test may require some time, anyway (we have more projects in progress at the same time)...
Best regards,

Marco "CavaliereOmbra" Macciò

I was thinking: perhaps someone ought to make this thread sticky? The information here could be vital to folk from non-English speaking parts of the world, but the volume of traffic on this thread is so low that it could get lost in the mix.

I think Dr4goN is banned from the forums, but I'm not sure. In any case, he didn't finished the translation, so go ahead and do it.
