How do i install a mod

i have instaled the latest patch, so no prob there

Hard way:
Complete the game once, then copy the Mod into the "mods" directory.

Easy way:
Add "ModSystemEnabled = 1" to your preferences.txt .
Then make a folder called "mods" in your Darwinia directory and copy the mod into it.

i completed the game but get no mod folder. ...also, cannot find preferences.txt.

do these not exist for mac? and are available mods not playable on mac?

on mac, the mods folder, as well as preferences.txt, are found in the application support folder or something like that, inside the system folder. Or something.

I don't have a mac. xander does.

Here's an idea: Make your own Mod. Give it a unique name. Create a map; just give it a name, don't bother editing it. Then search your hard drive for a directory with the mod's name, and you've found where your computer stores mods.

you were right ....it is in the app support folder in library ....

....so it goes:

HOME/LIBRARY/APPLICATION SUPPORT/DARWINIA/FULL/MODS
