Yeah
Yeah, I've completed the game. Normally, other mods go in ~/.darwinia/full/mods/modname/ And most mod's seem to work there.

Could you check you're running version 1.21? This was apparently fixed in that patch.
Frankly, the whole Linux directory layout seems totally idiotic to me
That aside, you're putting the mod in (as far as I can tell) the right place if you were getting the 'couldn't find goodiemark.shp' message with 1.20 - it was briefly covered at the bottom of this thread - the impression I get is that the game was always checking in it's dat file for the presence of files for static shape (which obviously it shouldn't be doing)
I wouldn't blame you for not having seen that thread, though.

Yeah, I patched to 1.21 the day it came out.
That said, there is a purpose to the linux directory structure. I ONLY have write access to the stuff in my home directory. If I run a virus, it can ONLY corrupt things that I have write access to. (This is assuming that the virus is not combined with a root-access exploit. ) i.e. it's one of the things that makes linux stable.

Grrr! Dosen't start...
Whenever i start SS, an error pops up saying
I don't get it... There are no anthills in Temple, and there are no occurances of an anthill in the txt file.
Is it about the level temple_again?
Anthill UniqueID was not unique in data/levels/map_temple.txt

Re: Grrr! Dosen't start...
Considering Temple_Again uses a completely seperate map and mission file, with _again on the end, I don't get it either. I'd check that like, you have a fairly clean install of Darwinia. I'd uh, check you have a clean profile too (putting 'none' as the profile in preference.txt is a good place to start), and basically just give me all the information you canTinFoil wrote:Whenever i start SS, an error pops up sayingAnthill UniqueID was not unique in data/levels/map_temple.txt

This is the sort of problem Darwinia kicks up when you try and use maps with names the same as the original ones, hence the _again, so I'm unsure why this would be happening, the only thing I can think of is some horrible conflict in an existing game.txt for the original campaign.
STUPID WIRELESS!
Great. Fixed the Problem.
1. Deleted StrikenSouls.
2. Downloaded and installed StrikenSouls
Seems I downloaded it wrong or something.

I thought that the fact that they moved and beghaved like ants made them obvious. Anyways, I didn't beat the game the fist time around (Got stuck on reprogram the pattern buffer), but I'll go for it again now. I've always liked this mod a lot. The level with the yard and the defend the hill was a stroke of pure genius.

I uh, think you'll find that the Nonagonians and Ghostwinians can be found on both the green and red teams during the game
(the bases of their 'enclaves' being the hint in the former case)
The problem that he talked about was Temple, not Temple_again, hence why it didn't make sense
Anyway, glad to hear it's working ok \o/
