Getting Darwinia started properly?

Postby Fulofulo » Thu Apr 14, 2011 5:44 pm

I just purchased Darwinia from the ubuntu software center, and it showed it installed fine, and it shows up in synaptic.

There is noch entry in the main menu/games or elsewhere, and if I punch

Code: Select all

darwinia
in the terminal nothing happens. It got installed in /opt/introversion/darwinia/ - but there is only a script named

Code: Select all

darwinia
and a "programm" called "darwinia.bin.x86". The latter starts the game, but only on half the screen, with the window being cut off in the lower half, the mouse locked inside said window and above all, all icons on the upper panel mixed up wildly.

Is there a proper way to start this thing, with a proper menu entry and without the mouse lock-in and the messed up panel?

Thanks so much.
