This is what it looks like in my terminal when I try to install the Linux binaries:

Verifying archive integrity... All good.
Uncompressing Darwinia full 1.3.0......................................................................

Gtk-WARNING **: Failed to load module "": cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

The installer says:

ERROR: vcdk is missing. Installation aborted.

The installation has been aborted.
Press 'Exit' to clean up temporary files

I managed to fix the problem with shared libraries but I haven't found a solution this problem.

Did you install the 1.2.1b before? I think the 1.3.0 is a patch and not the full game, look at the sizes

Code: Select all

[cam@arch Darwinia]$ ls -l
total 36220
drwxr-xr-x 3 cam 1000     4096 Feb 20 19:09 darwinia
-rwxr-xr-x 1 cam 1000 32573000 Feb 20 14:21
-rw-r--r-- 1 cam 1000  4010019 Feb 20 15:55
-rw-r--r-- 1 cam 1000   450217 Feb 20 15:06 DarwiniaManual.pdf

EDIT: I just saw that was quite an old post
