The Linux and Mac versions are being ported by one man. My guess is that there will be no Mac or Linux demos until the full game is released on the 4th of March.

Also, Mac has priority over Linux as far as getting done so we get to wait the longest.

Have I missed the Linux Binary on the site ? If not, when should it be released ? I obtain "could not get CPU vendor" when trying the game with cedega.

We are still waiting for the Mac and Linux binaries. My understanding of the current situation is that ASW are nearing completion of the Mac version, and may be shipping within a week or two. If you head over to IV's roadmap, you can see that they are still shooting for a March release of the Linux binaries. Hopefully, this pseudo-deadline won't blow by.

I've just picked up a copy of the Windows version but run Linux on my main desktop. Will the Linux binary be available for free for people with the Windows version, or will I need an entirly new copy?

same-ish here, have street-legal windows copy, but use/support linux at work. if free binary comes available would love to test on my 32-way RHAS4/SLES9 systems (on distros that during boot display a tux per cpu - big iron generates a veritable colony! next I'll need a SGI 512-way...) - how would I get my fingers on such? erm - the binary not the SGI (tho' suggestions welcomed)
