Darwinia Linux Demo beta 4d

Once I created a profile the game prints information to the shell on exit with messages like:
Saving profile sloth

Saved level mission_mine_demo.txt for profile sloth

CLIENT : Sending disconnect...

Saving profile sloth

Saved global data for profile sloth

When I restart the game it hasn't saved everything. Any Squads or Engineers I created are gone, and any Control Towers I programmed have reverted to their unprogrammed state. The game seems to save everything else, the Officers and Darwinians are where I left them, and the enemies I destroyed are still gone.
Every time I resume the game I have to scramble to create an Engineer and a Squad and re-program the Control Towers to attempt to defend the Darwinians before the enemies destroy them.

Is this just functionality that has not been programmed yet, or is this a bug?

I figured this was by design, I dont see it as a big issue, though research resetting is annoying.

I'm having the same issues with beta4e. For sure the squads/engineers are gone, so i figure any running program is gone. Also any reprogrammed building reverts to it's normal state (not reprogrammed yet), and the refined-polygon-counter gets reset.

Same problem here, only thing that seems to stay the same are destroyed virii and where the darwinians are.

it would most probably be because profiles aint enabled in the demo beta, but are in the full one.

Full game saves have not been enabled (or are still broken) in the beta5 version either, though there is a button now for loading a profile.

I have also found that accessing the profile dialog box in beta5 breaks game play, but I think this is a seperate issue, so I am starting a new thread entitled: Profile dialog breaks mouse pointer functionality.
