Failed to connect to localhost 127.0.0.1 while playing

Postby UberBuckley » Thu Oct 28, 2004 2:43 am

I occasionally get some errors in my system.log file while playing Darwinia. They all read: "localhost lookupd[14099]: NetInfo connection failed for server 127.0.0.1/local". I noticed two lines in the Preferences.txt file, which set my machine as a server at the IP 127.0.0.1, so it seems likely that Darwinia is trying to connect to itself and failing.

I don't get these messages the majority of the time, just sometimes. I they never have yet shown up after I quit normally (i.e. don't crash) but have never been closer than 10 minutes to the crash time.

I'm running 10.3.5. For reference, here are the system specs gathered from your system info tool:

Code: Select all

SysInfoGenVersion: 2
CpuVendor: PowerPC 7450
CpuModel: ppc7450
Num Processors: 1
Country: Any
Language: en_US
Num sound devices: 1
Primary sound device: Built-in Audio
Graphics Card: GeForce FX Go5200
Operating System: Darwin 7.5.0

Does this issue persist with beta3?

Not that I have noticed. However, my logs did get cleaned about an hour ago so I can't go back and check. If it happens again, I will post it here.
