Crash on start up

Postby arienette » Fri Apr 03, 2009 11:39 pm

I have the steam version of darwinia, I needed to reformat my pc, backed up my darwinia save files and now when I paste them back into the darwinia folder they aren't working. Instead when I load up darwinia I get "Text file contains line with more than 65536 characters" and nothing happens.

My guess is that, for some reason, some file has an incorrect line breaking char, and everything in that file (or multiple files) is on one line. That, at least, would be what the error message is indicating. I would start from a fresh install, and put files into place one at a time to find the one that is damaged, then either get rid of, or attempt to fix, that file.
