Can't activate disk version, runs as demo

Hi guys, I bought Darwinia ages ago on disk, but never played it. The recent release of Multiwinia has inspired me to install it. However the games runs as though it's a demo, keeps telling me to buy Darwinia and then wont let me play any of the "Mine, Generator or Yard" levels.

Please help

What version are you playing?

Have you installed the latest patch?

1.5.11 or whatever it is, I updated using Gameshadow

(add) when I click on "Mine" or any other level, it says something like "thankyou for trying Darwinia, please buy the game." Do I need an activation key like Defcon?

Uh, maybe Gameshadow gave you the demo instead?

Reinstall Darwinia and try the patch from theofficial website.
