I'm not sure it's a problem

Postby Zereg » Mon Sep 08, 2008 5:03 pm

When i'm zooming out and watching a Squade,Engineer,Spiders etc... (the 3D characters) it is very very blurry, pixelated, squared i don't know how to call it but it's kinda ugly (from close it's much more smoother) and i thought it's suppose to be that way until i saw gameplay videos and the 3D models looks just fine (smooth lines, no squarey pixely) even when zoomed out, so what cause this problem (if it's actually a problem) and how can i solve it?

Darwinia employs a "pixel effect" to pixelate many of the models, and make them look more like old skool sprites. That is what they are supposed to look like. However, if you do not like the effect, you can turn it off in the graphics options menu.

Oh so it's just an effect than... well the reason i don't like it when u zoom out it blurs the squade\engi\virus to much so you can't even recongnise him.

Oh and THX :)

Actually when you zoom very close to a squad, like at the top of a mountain for example, the pixel effect disappears and you can see them "clean".
