can't select tanks

I just bought this game though steam, and have played a few hours of it, but I'm on the level where it builds the armour tansports that turn into guns. I can't get them to work. I managed to set a couple up, but they don't shoot anything, and if I try and select it, my camera seems to zoom out, I keep clicking on it and my camera keeps zooming out. also it never gets selected.

I have checked my version and it says 1.5.10 and I read on here that it should be 1.5.11, I have restarted steam, and my pc, but it doesn't seem to ever update to this 1.5.11 version.

I'm using vista, and all my drivers are upto date

any ideas what I can try.


also, the graphics seem a bit weird on some of the creatures, they seem a bit odd around the edges, for example my squads are just blurry. if I zoom right in, you get a bit of detail but still shimmers and is not defined. same for the spiders legs, big wormy snakes, eggs from the triffeds etc... is this normal, everything else seems to be fine and to a high level of detail.

You need darwinians working on the guns for them to work.

And... I believe the blurry effect you mention is the pixel effect. It can be disabled in the graphics options if you don't like it.
