Crash on Pattern Buffer level

Postby Sr_Dela » Sun Oct 15, 2006 5:47 am

AND IT KEEPS DOING IT! The rest of the game has run fine, but ever since I got to the Pattern Buffer area it keeps crashing on me. This is also the first time I'm really USING the "turrets" approprately, so maybe that has something to do with it? I do get a little armor happy at times.

Without you posting a blackbox file, the error is probably one of two things. Either you are suffering from a memory leak, which would require you to turn off Hardware 3D Sound and Realtime FX; or you are suffering from the battle cannon bug, in which case you should not let your cannons get taken over by red DGs. If neither of those solves the problem, please post a blackbox.

I was able to hold the red darwinians away from my cannons and I didn't crash. So if this is a known bug could we expect a patch to fix this sometime SOON? Or are IV focusing on Defcon right now?

This is a known bug. There is no ETA on a patch. At a guess, I would assume no earlier than December -- IV are still pretty busy with MacCon, LinCon, and PatchCon.
