Graphical Glitches with Demo

Hi,

I played the demo v1.4 over Steam, I enjoyed it immensely but unfortunately am suffering graphical glitches. The frame rate and sound are all fine but I get constant white/gray shapes and lines flashing all over the screen.

My set-up:
ATi Radeon X800pro - drivers 6.1
P4 3.2
ASUS P4P-800-EDeluxe
1Gb RAM
Windows XP Pro SP2
DirectX 9.0c

I have tried adjusting the graphics settings but the problems occur no matter what.

If I know this can be resolved or is a demo specific problem I'll feel confident to go ahead and buy the game but it would drive me nuts trying to play through the game with this problem.

If anyone can help me out it would be appreciated.

Can you obtain some screenshots of the effect? (P is the key to take screenshots).

OK, I have captured the effect as best I could, imagine this effect flashing at you constantly and you more or less have my issue.
