reciever crash

My game keeps crashing on the reciever, iv tried reinstalling it and everything to no avail. really dont know how to fix it, might be a profile file error, can any1 help?

When it crashes, does it create a blackbox.txt file?

If it is a profile issue, the file that has become corrupted is probably mission_receiver_recapture.txt . It is encrypted using an algorithm called redshirt2. If you search for redshirt2 on the forums, you will probably be able to find a tool to decrypt it. Once it is decryped, look down towards the bottom. You should see several squaddies in the section labeled "Instant Units." Delete them.

If decrypting your file seems like too much work, you can probably fix the problem by deleting mission_receiver_recapture.txt . However, this will, for all intents and purposes, reset the level, so you will lose most of your progress in the level.

Without seeing your blackbox file, or knowing more details of the crash, that is the best advice that I can offer.

thanx alot man, I had only just started the level pretty much so i just deleted the file and got it working again. and no it wasn't a blackbox error, just a microsoft error. But thanx for the help again, much appreciated
