got the same error several times too.

but... one thought :) Darwinia is a digital world... there are viruses, spam, etc..
So there must be bugs too! :D
Even more! There should be parameter in editor which sets (how to call it...) "bugginess" or "bug intensity" value for location. :twisted:

This sounds like it coule be it, I recently played through Darwinia again, running 1.42, encountering this problem 2-3 times on different maps, resetting the map fixed it for me, didn't try to restart back then.

Anyway, I seem to remember it happening in connection with me spawning squads in the middle of virii, spamming nades after finally killing the program off myself and doing this repeatedly with several squads, this made me think it might have been due to me killing off the squads before their nades exploded, but in retrospec the cap on programs in total sound plausible since I like go on semi-suicide missions and killing off/respawning squads when a member or two is missing.
