Spastic snakes and holes in the ground

I know Spiders falling apart has been discussed before, but there is nothing specific about their hill disabilities. see screen shots..

And on that note, another interesting fact is, that if your Darwinians are also on the hill the spider cannot kill them, effectively making them invulnerable...well at least until a snake thingumy gets them. By the way, the snake thingumys do not fall apart on very steep hills and move quite well. They do not disjoint like the spiders, though they do tend to overlap and bunch up in crevices.

Spiders and snake thingumys can also go down the mine shafts, as can the Darwinians and the Officers, however Squads bounce off and usually fall half way down the hill where they stay, as their hill climbing abilities do not allow them to climb back up.

Darwinians and Officers can climb any terrain (Is this a bug?) meffectively eliminating the need for bridges for them.

Just to add a point. Snakethingumys and Spiders...and probably other NPC critters can walk right through structures and not to mention Darwinians. I think some collision detection would go a long way here, as well as applying physics to grenades when they come into contact with large cretaures (spiders etc.). It is a hindrance when trying to destroy something that is sitting on/in a building and you cannot blow it up as your grenades and laser fire refract from the object and do no damage to the creature. Also is some sort of health meter going to be applied to the large creatures? It is hard to know how dead something is in the current state.

Cheers

Spiders legs still occasionally get detached on steep hills in P1 B5 Win32

Replicated in P1/B5, also a sort of terrain crash on steep slopes, where part of the spiders legs go into terrain. Here and Here, this is better
