alt-x wont work.

Postby chrisvarns » Sun Aug 29, 2004 7:09 pm

I can't complete the level due to the fact that i cannot kill processes with the alt-x command ingame. It seems that windows still has control over this keyboard shortcut, as when i press and hold alt, the task manager ingame pops up, but when i proceed to hit x, i get that annoying windows beep.

Does anyone know a work around to this to help me in the meantime?

Seem to be a lot of Alt-combo problems, maybe a different key would cause less problems.

If you mean close and in-game program, it is Alt + C, even though the help thing says its Alt-X. In fact there is one that says Alt-X and one that says Alt-C, but only Alt-C works. This was pointed out in apost in the Class C bugs, I think, and has definatewly been mentioned before. Please search and/or read most of the forum before you post.

If you meant something else, I appologise, and please try and explain a little better.

It's CTRL + C actually.

I thought it might've been, but then the mentioning of Alt made me think that it must've been that. My mistake. Sorry.

Well, he was talking about Alt-X, and I knew that X was the wrong key to terminate and that it was C, hence I said it was Alt-C. Not stopping to realise that it was infact Ctrl.
