Darwinian path bug

Postby Slayer » Fri Aug 27, 2004 6:41 pm

I had a large number of Darwinian's at the radar dish which you link the radar dish on the starting island to, and ordered them to move toward the other radar dish on the island. The map layout means they have to walk around a stretch of water to do this.

Instead, they moved into the bowl-shaped area of land on this side of the water, and marched back and forth along the water front. They refused to take further orders, even from a different officer, and the only way I could find to move them was to change them into officers one-by-one, move them to a new location, and then deselect them.

UPDATE: This bug seems to occur whenever you give Darwinia men orders that take them across water if they cannot find a path around. The will continually attempt to walk one way for a certain distance, then give up and attempt the other, ignoring all orders.

i also managed to get 3 or so darwinians caught in a continuous loop around the radar dish on the first second islans. they would just walk around it forever. i had to promote them to get them to stop
