I accidentally drew the wrong symbol so I had 3 processes running. I didnt know this but a help screen popped up saying I needed to terminate one by using ALT and then TAB through them and hit X. Well I did that, and it didnt work. Another one stated to do the same thing but hit CTRL+C, I did that too and that brought up my Trillian control panel. I tried with my own luck to just hit C and it worked.
Hope that makes sense, cus I just woke up =|
Terminating a program is C not X

It is in fact Ctrl-C to terminate an unwanted program. If Trillian has the same combination for it's control panel then that would be your problem there. Once you reentered the game, it must have still thought Alt was held, so pressing C was the equvalent of the combination normally.
I suggest you close Trillian or disable the key combo while you test further

I had the same problem, but I discovered that if you alt-tab to the unit you want, get out of the alt-menu, and THEN press Ctrl-C, you don't get the Trillian window and it kills the unit. The Trillian window shortcut is Alt-Ctrl-C.
It makes sense since I use Ctrl-C all the time in Windows for copy (as in copy & paste) but it never makes the Trillian window pop up. ALT-Ctrl-C, however, makes the Trillian window pop up.
