Grenades and egg laying spiders

Hey guys

I bought the game way back in 2006 and recently bought it again via steam. I have a couple of issues - my squads cannot launch grenades - Dr Sepulveda says they are launched by the left mouse button but that moves the squad. Without grenades I don't think I can kill the egg laying spiders so I'm getting swarmed by virii. Is there a key bind I can assign to grenades? I don't see one.
