is there a way to disable ingame sounds and music via command lines & parameters, there's no such thing in the menu options ?

May I ask why?

It cannot be done from the command line, but you can edit the preferences file by hand to get the desired effect. Find preferences.txt (its location varies with OS, but there are stickies in the troubleshooting forum that should help), and edit the following line:

The number can range from 0 to 255, with 255 being full volume and 0 being no sound. A value of 195 will reduce the volume quite a bit, and anything below 128 will be basically mute.
